Launched in May 2010, snap.vu is a service which combines the following:
- Free QR code (Quick Response) code generator and tracker.
- Free short URL link generator and tracker.
- Free contact details and vcard hosting service.
What that means in plain English?
You can use snap.vu to create a short link to any web page.

The service also creates a matching snapcode (also known as a QR code):
Which means anyone with an internet connected camera phone and QR code software installed can take a photo of the code and be directed to your website, or to a dedicated snap.vu page showing your contact details.
In addition you can also track when and how often your website or contact details are accessed via snap.vu.
What can I do with snap.vu?
snap.vu can be used for many applications. Here are a few ideas:
